Why move your list into your booking system
Your booking system already knows who visited, what they had and when they last came in. Sending from there means a we miss you email can go to clients who have not been back in eight weeks, and a thank you to everyone after a first visit, without moving lists between two tools.
It also keeps one record of consent for each client: who agreed, when and with which wording.
What comes across from Mailchimp
| In Mailchimp | In TSF Booking |
|---|---|
| Subscribed | Clients who can receive marketing emails, with the date they signed up or confirmed kept as evidence of consent |
| Unsubscribed | On your do-not-email list and never sent marketing emails |
| Cleaned (bounced) | Blocked for every email |
| Tags | Client tags you can send to |
| Birthday | The birthday month on the client profile |
How to switch
- In Mailchimp, export your audience. You get a ZIP file.
- In TSF Booking, open Campaigns, then Mailing list, and choose Import from Mailchimp.
- Upload the ZIP as it is and check the preview. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and you can undo the import.
- Replace your old sign-up form with your own sign-up page and the box on your booking page.
- Set up your automations from the recipes, send yourself a test, then send your next campaign from TSF Booking.
What you can send
- Newsletters and offers with your logo and photos, from salon templates
- A welcome email when someone joins your list
- Aftercare a few hours after chosen treatments
- Rebook reminders and we miss you emails that stop if the client books
- Birthday emails in the client’s birthday month
What it costs
Email marketing is included free in every TSF Booking plan for a limited time, so there is no second subscription to pay while the offer runs. Plans start at £79 a month.
For comparison, Mailchimp’s own pricing pages, checked on 23 October 2026, list a free plan limited to 250 contacts that does not include its automation flows, Essentials from £9.78 a month with flows of up to four steps, and Standard from £15.05 a month. Those are separate from your booking system’s fee.
Keep it lawful
Only clients who agreed to marketing emails receive them, consent is checked again before every send, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Opens and link clicks are recorded, so mention email tracking in your privacy notice.
Questions
Will my subscribers have to sign up again?
No. Subscribers who opted in to your Mailchimp audience come across with the date they signed up or confirmed, kept as evidence of their consent.
What happens to people who unsubscribed?
They go on your do-not-email list and are never sent marketing emails. Booking confirmations and reminders still reach them.
Can I undo the import?
Yes. An import can be undone if something looks wrong.
Is it really free?
Email marketing is included free in every plan for a limited time. You pay your normal monthly plan and nothing extra for email marketing while the offer runs.
